Even though I do want to support my local business, but adding so much MSG to your noodle soup is not the way to go. If you have a dry mouth after eating their soup, you know you just consumed a lot of the artificial flavor enhancer called MSG. If you want the business to thrive, don’t cut corners, don’t explore alternatives shortcuts.
So glad the Fairfax location is finally open! Their rice noodles are super authentic and flavorful. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the portions are great for the price. Definitely my new go-to spot for a quick and satisfying meal!
Way better than you would think. Price is pretty reasonable too. Service is excellent and kind. I really liked the hometown fried rice
currently devastated because meet rice noodle is temporarily closed!! COME BACK SOON ♡♡♡ my favorite dishes are the golden pickled cabbage & beef rice noodle soup & the mouthwatering chicken!! i crave them daily 😩 the beef kaili red sour rice noodle soup is also amazing. i’ve dined in and gotten take out. when you order take out, they have the best to-go containers that separate the noodles from the broth, so it travels perfectly! i was sad when the previous restaurant in this location closed, but quickly got over it when i tried meet rice noodle (i love it even more!) please come back!! i’ll eat here at least weekly if i have to!! now to figure out a plan B for dinner tonight….
Great flavor in noodles and soup, dumplings and snacks too, pricing not bad either
Truly truly honest and clean noodle shop I have ever been that highlights rice in other than in grain form. And by clean, I mean I cannot taste a trace of lingering saltiness, or preservative after-tastes, or any awkward unnatural sauce burns on the tongue during or after the meal. This is truly the noodle place to eat if you want a simple clean noodle or appetizer dishes. Do any entrees flavors tickle your mind, remind you of some deep unctuous Michelin star restaurant disk, or so full-bodied like tonkotsu where you'll never be able to taste the same flavors again? No, absolutely not. Some might claim it's bland. But when we tried the rice noodle dishes and dumpling appetizers, we can tell the rice noodle soup did not leave a oily or salty film on the tongue dehydrating you for rest of the day. And the dumplings honestly tasted home-made with good amount of filling and thin wrapper - again, no weird lingering flavors. The hot rice cake desserts have a very satisfyingly chew - but can come with more brown sugar syrup. This would be the place to eat if you are recovering from a long illness with some much needed clean nourishment and you just don't feel like cooking. Now if the owner would just provide extra napkins and spicy chili sauce/powder for diners to add, that would make a world of difference. Overall, high ratings for offering very clean-tasting food.
This recently opened Chinese rice noodle specialty restaurant at The Shops @ Fairfax is a must-visit for authentic Chinese rice noodles. While the menu is more streamlined than many other Chinese restaurants, the dishes I tried were outstanding. Chives, shrimp & pork dumplings tasted homemade, with perfectly balanced seasonings that enhanced the flavors without overpowering them. The Chicken & Pork Stomach Rice Noodle Soup was rich and satisfying, featuring a flavorful umami broth and a generous portion of meat and rice noodles that offered excellent value for the price. For dessert, I indulged in the Coconut Lava Balls—deep-fried treats filled with coconut milk and tapioca, combining a delightful subtle sweetness with a crunchy exterior. It was the perfect way to conclude the meal. Service was prompt, and the food arrived quickly. The ambiance was clean and inviting, making the overall experience very enjoyable.
Love the rice noodle at 蒙自源 Meet Ricenoodle! It’s the most authentic and healthy ricenoodle I’ve eaten in DMV. The rice is also yummy. So happy to find my hometown food here🥰
